I just received a new laptop at work yesterday. My old desktop was given to another employee and all of my files were to be transferred to my new laptop. Everything was, except SiteSpinner. I have downloaded SiteSpinner again on my laptop, but now don't know how to find my website project. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you have already uploaded your site to your web host, there's a good chance that your project file is there.

Unless you changed the publish options, SS sends a copy of your ims file with your published site.

Postyr's recovery recommendation is a good option but if you transferred all your files from the old desktop then in 'My Documents' you should have a folder called 'My IMS Projects' and 'Projects', if that's the case then all your projects created in SS should be there.

I looked in "My Documents" folder and there were 4 folders, there was clipart and templates there, but the folder that said "Projects" said it was empty.
My old computer was XP and the new one is Vista. Could this have anything to do with not finding it?

I don't think that it has anything to do with Vista vs XP but I am no expert. Did you by any chance make some backup copies from your projects or did you save the projects in another directory then the one I mentioned? You couls also try to search you computer for .ims files.

I'm no expert, but I think your project would only be under Projects within My IMS Projects if that's where you saved it. You might try doing a search of your drive for *.ims files. If you don't find it and you know who got your desktop, you could ask to see if your files are still there.

This is one of the reasons I didn't trust my IT department to get everything right when I got a PC upgrade.
