I know that this issue has been up before and the code I am using currently is one recommended here before
<style type="text/css"> body{scrollbar-3dlight-color:#532900; scrollbar-arrow-color:#804000; scrollbar-base-color:#000000; scrollbar-darkshadow-color:#400000; scrollbar-face-color:#000000; scrollbar-highlight-color:#000000; scrollbar-shadow-color:#6A3500; track-color:#000000} </style> The thing is that this code seems to cause error messages (or maybe tha way I am using it) |

Your code appears to be correct.
It's the same code I'm using, only I'm using it in Web Studio, rather than SiteSpinner. Where did you put the code? It should go inside the page header. Maybe you have it in the wrong place. You might want to go back and check the code carefully for any typos. It's amazing what one tiny little " , or the absence there of, can do. Renée "in omnia paratus" |

Googling on this topic, I find that these color changers don't work with Firefox (Mozilla).
It would be nice if Firefox did not show errors in the Javascript Console, but other than that, I haven't seen any bad effects -- apart from the scrollbar color staying at the default |

I don't know about that. I use FireFox, and I've had no problems with it.

I'm afraid I have to take my last post back. I just checked a trial site I have up right now, and I'm not getting the color changes in the scrollbars.
I'm also not getting any error messages. Hmmmmm....I'll have to check that one out. Renée "in omnia paratus" |

Line 14 means the 14th line in the HTML page. In Firefox, use Ctrl+U then Ctrl+L to go to the line number concerned. (You can also do it via the menus.)
There are lots of possible colors, running into the millions. So a table is not practical. However, there are widgets available on the web where you enter a hex number like you have for your scrollbar color, and the widget shows the color. The color editor available under the Shading Editor > > Color > Define Custom Colors >> does the same thing for decimal numbers. To use that, you first have to convert your hex numbers to decimal -- again there are widgets on the web to do that You can also do the reverse, pick a color using the color picker eyedropper, then read off the color numbers. |

FireFox browser has a color picker extension that displays both RGB color and the web code for that color. It's a really neat tool, if you're browsing and see a color you like, one click and you know the numbers.

In this old thread, AndyP made two recommendations, -- both still available.
The one Phil is referring to may be this one. |
