Hi all-I hope you can help me...my site previously had no problems with pop ups...click photo-large image opens-clean. Now when I click image the pop up has disturbing windows border + "about.blank" + name of my photo...I don't want any of this, just my photo, full size.

I've had lots of issues on my computer due to unrelated problems so don'tknow if it is a setting on my machine or what?

Even my new project has a pop up problem..related but different..when I popup my image an entire white windows page opens...also don't want this.

I'm getting very frustrated-lots of time invested in something I used to be able to do!

Thanks in advance for any help!!

The pop-up window borders, the "about:blank" and name of your photo being displayed is controlled by your browser settings. What browser are you using? Note that altering your browser settings will only effect the way it is displayed in your browser, not your visitor's. They may still see the "problems" you describe due to their settings.

Can you post a link showing your 2nd problem? I'm not sure what you are talking about and would like to see it.

For the second problem, it seems you may not be getting a popup at all -- rather the popup image is just opening in a large new window.

Often this can happen because of code errors on your page. You can test this possibility by isolating the popup on a fresh page. If it works there but not on your real page, it will be something else on your real page that is interfering with the popup.

As Larry requested, if you post a link to a problem page, that should help us to pinpoint the cause.

Hi, thanks for your suggestions...I've been away and am sorry for delay in my response. My second problem is only on a work in progress (very rough draft) in my sitespinner files. I'm not sure how to send an example to you but will try...my schedule is bad right now but will try later. Thanks again for your input!

Hi again-funny thing...sometimes the white page happens and sometimes it doesn't when I activate the pop up. I can see it has something to do with Active x controls on my computer...I've followed all the i.e. instructions to de-activate the information bar and controls that pop up-to no avail. I see the issue in ss is related to security settings but can't get rid of the active x blocker, etc...I don't know if the link below will show you my page but I'm giving it a try.

The yellow information bar will always appear when viewing a web page that is being opened on your local computer. Upon viewing your site from your host once uploaded, you will normally find that this won’t occur.

To prevent this from happening locally, in IE, go to Tools > Internet Options then click on the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Security section and check the box “Allow active content to run in files on My Computer”.

You will have to close and reopen your browser before it will take effect.

To postyr....thank you so much for your help-as you knew, it worked just fine once I followed your intstruction. I know just enough to have a clue but not enough to find the "correct" setting to change. Thanks a million!
