My only reason for upgrading to Sitespinner Pro was to thank you guys for your wonderful program and this marvelous Forum which provides a rapid answer to any question anyone can ask. But here's a very minor complaint: with Sitespinner, I got into the (bad?) habit of selecting "Publish Current Page" sixty-five times a day to see exactly how it would look. And as far as I remember, "Publish Current Page" used to be the default value. This default seems to have changed in SitespinnePro to the last value selected... even the last program session.
So if yesterday night I did a "Publish All Pages", that's what it will do now - although I just want to publish one page.
I'm getting used to this now, but just in case other users are having problems with it, it may be worth giving us the option of setting this parameter to our own specific needs in a later version. Thanks for your time on this minor, minor issue!

I would like to see the radio buttons come back. Going to a drop-down box, we now need 2 clicks to do what 1 would do.

mikemesure,

Re: "My only reason for upgrading to Sitespinner Pro was to thank you guys for your wonderful program" - Thank you Smile

Re: "marvelous Forum which provides a rapid answer to any question anyone can ask" - that credit goes to all those donate their time to help others out around here, and is appreciated by all.

Re: "'Publish Current Page' used to be the default value" - actually, I don't believe this was changed from SS to SSP. That is, the current Profile saves the last selected Publish method, in SS as well as SSP. Have an option for this would be good however.

larryd,

Re: "radio buttons" - yes, it does appear that way. I'll pass this over to the Development Gods.

Hey Larry
I'm amazed and disappointed that the Development Gods never got around to looking at putting the default Publishing options the way they were originally... i.e. by default, the current page only is published. Next time you say your prayers, could you mention this?
Thanks

Hi mikemesure,

The way it works now is the last publish mode is saved in the project (not in the profile). So when you load a project, it loads the publishing mode that was used the last time the project was saved.

If you don’t load a project (that is, you work on the ‘new’ project presented at start up) it will used the mode you last used.

If you switch to, say, publish the current page, it will stay at the current page until you change it or you load a project that was saved with a different publishing mode.

I think it has to be that way. If it reverted to some default mode each time SiteSpinner was started up or each time the Publisher was used, it would be wrong for all the people who had changed it from the default. So, basically, it stay the last place you put it.

The radio button are back now.
