V2 SiteSpinner imports my MP3 flash sound files (embeded on/off music icon) - no problem but when I import a flash (silent animation) the background of the flash (swf) is no longer transparent (as in some of my alternative Web progs).
Obviously I would like to stay with and utilise VM's V2.
Q: how can one (in V2) get the background of a swf to show through as transparent - apart from re-creating the whole swf file?
I have tried messing around with the swf (object properties) and the shading editor but to no avail.
If the background was a single colour, then it would be easier but my bkgnds are mostly gradual /variable linear shadings.
Is there a particular method of applying transparency to flash backgrounds? or is that impossible in this current version of SiteSpinner?
Any pointers would be much appreciated.

First of all, your flash file has to have been made with a transparent background.

If this is the case, right click the object on your work page, and select "Edit Foreign Object".

In the bottom section, you will see some parameters.

Enter "wmode" without the quotes as a name, and "transparent" as the value.

By design, flash files are placed on top of any other content in a browser. However, there is a flash run-time parameter that you can use to turn it transparent and allow your page content shine through.

Double-click the flash object and at the bottom of the Foreign Object/Media window there is a section called Parameters. In one of the Name areas, enter "wmode" (no quotes) and in the corresponding Value area, enter "transparent" (no quotes).

THanks "Postyr" and "Larryd" for your comments.
Much appreciated - will try this out as soon as I can - probably sometime tomorrow.
Cheers.

Hi Postyr & Larryd, I could not wait till tomorrow so fired up the old pc and imported a transparent bkgnd swf file into V2.
Applied "wmode" and entered "transparent" for value in the parameters as you both suggested and it works just fine.
It'so simple yet I overlooked it. Thanks guys.
