Hello,

I just have two questions I would like to ask re Webdwarf.

1)Is there anyway to display the shading for shapes as per when you create them. As soon as you publish or preview it there are these ugly bands of colours (not when flat is chosen of course). I understand that the internet only has limited colours but it look so good when you create them and it would great to have them displayed like in in IE.

2) Can I turn off the startup tip in WebDwarf or this is only possible in SiteSpinner?

Thanks in advance.
Ray

Hi Ray,

Not sure why you are not seeing the shadings the same as they are in the work-window. As a matter of fact the work window is set be default to be 'low-render', which means they should actually look better when previewed/published.

Please take a look at one of the pages on our site (http://www.virtualmechanics.com/products/spinner/tour1.html) and let me know the quality of the graphics.

Hi Derry,

At least I know that it's possible and it must be my settings.

After further investigating I found out that I had set all geometry to save as GIF files. Resetting back to jpg works like a dream.

Any news on the default Tip window when you start WebDwarf - Can it be switched off?

Thanks
Ray

Hi Ray,

Actually the default setting is PNG. the reason for this is that png supports the most options - you may want to use it instead of gif unless you have a specific need.

As for the Tip window, sorry, it can't be turned off in WebDwarf (though it can in SiteSpinner and Web Engine)
