My website is currently displaying fine as far as I can tell, but I need to change my email address on the pages. When I opened SiteSpinner to make the changes, I found that the vertical pictures had somehow rotated themselves (horizontal pictures are fine). They have cropped themselves to their new height, so rotating them back to their correct orientation cuts off part of the picture. Any idea why this happened? Is there a quick fix, or do I just need to delete all the pictures and then reposition them?
This is the website: http://freepages.history.roots..._thompson/index.html The page for hall_ada_matilda is the only one I have made changes to, so maybe somebody can see what's different. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Jenny |

How much rotation are you seeing -- just a few degrees or something like 90 degrees? You see the rotation on your workpage, so how many degrees of rotation do you see displayed in the Quick Editor > Object tab?
If that is reporting zero degrees, there may be some external influence outside SiteSpinner that is rotating the images -- perhaps an image editor. |

It's rotated a full 90 degrees, and that's what the Quick Editor shows.
It's been quite a while since I created these pages so it's hard to remember, but I think I rotated the vertical pictures inside SS (not before I imported them). However, in the picture folder, they are now showing as vertical but I seriously doubt that I would have gone in and changed them. At any rate, that would seem like the problem is with the picture folder instead of SiteSpinner. Since there are only about 20 pages, should I just redo the pictures instead of trying to figure it out? Thanks! Jenny |

Hi Jenny,
In Bruce’s absence, I have just checked all of your links, and every image is vertical. None are rotated. Either you have solved the situation, or your problem is only within your project, which would make it an SS problem. If the images on your site are the older (correct) ones, then I would discount my first observation. If you have not uploaded your new pages, and only see the errors in preview, then the second observation is relevant. In the case of the latter, my suggestion would be to move all of the (correctly aligned) images to a new location on your hard drive. Open your project in SS. You will see that SS will not be able to find the image. Select any image place holder, and open the Object Editor. Click on “New Dir” Navigate to where you have moved the images to and apply the settings. SS will automatically apply this setting to all of the images in your project. Hopefully, this should solve your problem. Terry |
