How do I get rid of it?

I've got the "space" at 0 and the "padding" at 0, but there's still a big gaping gap between where the cell border and the border of the table.

I want the cells to touch each other and to touch the edges of the table.

If I set border to "0" then there's no outline, although the cells do seem to touch the edge. But I need an outline.

Please help!

Have you looked at the Tables tutorial under Help > Tutorials? The first example there under "Create a Table" does not seem to show the problem you describe. (Viewing in Firefox and IE8.)

It may be that you have something else on your page that is interfering with the table -- to test this possibility, try a fresh table on a new page.

I followed the tutorial exactly on an empty page and the same problem happens!

I'm completely stumped!

It seems to me the problem you describe should be controlled by the Boundaries > Space Field. At zero, the cell boundary is right on top of the table boundary. Increase the Space value, and I see an increasing gap appear between the table and the cell boundary.

This is what I see viewing my example in Firefox:

Thank you so so much! In my workpage, it looks like there is space between the cell and the border, but when I previewed, there isn't any!

I hadn't thought to check.

Thanks again! That really solves a lot of problems!
