Is it absolutely necessary to have the .ims files on my website? I'm running out of space on my domain, and would like to consolidate without deleting important info or pictures. I have all of my files backed up online and on disk, so if it's just for back up, can I take those off?
Thanks for the help! Buttons |

No, it's not necessary to have the ims project file on the server. It's just a precaution, but as you said, you have made back-ups. You can simply delete the ims file from your server and in order to avoid that it uploads next time you publish (if you use SS Publisher) open SS Publisher > Profile tab and uncheck 'Auto Backup Project File When Publishing' option.
