I was having a problem that has been discussed here before, but found no answers to the problem in my search of the posts here in the VM forms. The problem was the following error showing up when attempting to connect to and upload to my website:

ftp connection error: unable to connect to:
"www.mysite.com"

Last Error:
The Computer is disconnected from the network

Taking into consideration VM SS used to work just fine at publishing the website content, then just started giving me the above error out of the blue. I used a 3rd party FTP application to upload my site updates without troubles or interruptions no problem, double checked all of the site & PW settings in the 3rd party against those I had for the VM SS, everything was the same. Obviously for some reason VM SS was not finding the connection to my network and therefore the Internet.

The solution was easy enough, I went into the XP control panel and reset the Internet connection using the Connections tab just like you would to set up a new connection. I went back to VM SiteSpinner tried using the browse and publishing a web page to my site.... Everything connected and worked fine just like it had been doing before. Can't say when the connection settings within VM SS would have been changed or lost, because everything else was still connecting and working just fine both before and after the reset of the connection settings.

Bottom line is once I reset the internet connection using the Internet Options under the control panel the Publish Project began functioning properly again.
