Hello,
I would like to add a page to my website or make a new website
to sell products like the deal of the days sites
Not in the big qty.s they do..
List one to five products a day and be able
to limit how many are sold per day. Have a new set of products each day. I know I can
setup the basic page with sitespinner but I don't have any idea how to do the rest...
Anyone willing to help or point me in the right direction would be great.
Thanks for your time
Mike

A possible solution would be to use an i-frame which would allow you to include your specials and be updated daily without having to change the parent page.

I imagine from your "limit how many are sold per day" statement that you want some type of counter on each item so the visitor knows whether it can ordered or a small banner placed over the item when it is sold out. This will take a bit of scripting, and possibly a database.

How do you plan to track when an item is sold? Is your shopping cart capable of giving you feedback when an order is completed? If so, then you could possibly use this info to reduce the item count on your page.

Are you pressed for time to get this working? If not, I could assist you in getting this done. My email address is in my public profile. If you are interested, send me a few more details about your requirements and any ideas you have for page layout.

If you're pushed for time and don't want to commit cost to the e-commerce you could handle the e-commerce aspects by using PayPal 'Buy now' buttons.

Zero cost and if it works out, then graduate onto a more bespoke shopping cart/card settlement system.
