I notice a new button that shows on Google search-results.

When you click it it moves that result to the top (it did with mine) of the results list.

I wonder if it then will be on top for others also..or if this is some cookie that only moves it up for me ?

If indeed for everyone then that seems to be a nice "fraudululent-manipulation" tool.

it leads you to a video that i posted to my user-page at youtube
only yesterday night

That was at Google-result position 7 or so (for me)
i clicked the new ""promote-button" which then moved it to the top.

What position is this exact result at for you ?

The promote button is just a personal tool, a way to ensure that sites you like stay at the top of your search results. For the time being the use of that button affects only your own search results.

A cookie ?
or something that Google stores in relation to your IP-adress ?

The SearchWiki features work only if you are signed in to your google account and is a part of your profile stored on google servers.
