Virtual Mechanics offers a hosting package (FREE for a year) that most certainly will support Sitespinner. I already had bought a domain name and hosting (from godaddy.com) when I got my software, and I have had no problem whatsoever in publishing. Their customer support is live 24/7, and they walked me right through it. Good luck.

You can host SiteSpinner projects on any kind of host. If you can't upload to a host, it is usually some kind of setup problem.

In the worst case, you can publish to disk first, then use a separate FTP program for the upload.

Sorry to include this here, but I can't seem to start a new thread. My Go, New, Find tabs are doing nothing and I need to know how to fix this. I am getting Error on page message above Start menu. However, Reply works fine. Help me.

The way to start a new thread is to click the New Button then select "Discussion" from the drop down list.

Try refreshing the page with CTRL+R. Occasionally the page may not load completely -- this can lead to Javascript errors which in turn means that the page does not work properly.

Also what browser are you using, and does the page work differently with another browser?

Thanks for responding. I'm using IE 7, and it's the only one i got. Still it hasn't changed. When I click New nothing happens. Same with Find, Go, and Tools. Error on page with little exclamation point in triangle comes up above Start Button. Surprisingly though, Reply works just fine. Notify also works. What different browser would you recommend and where can I find it? Thanks again.

One more thing - when I put the pointer over a name (e.g. Bruceee) in that same bar it says : javascript:void(0) and their links don't respond either. I can't figure it out. I tried shutting down my firewall - no change. Other sites' forums still work fine.

I brought up IE7 and had no problems. Have you tried doing a restart of your computer? You can also download the latest Firefox and try that. I use Firefox as my main browser since IE7 runs horribly slow (and I've got a line that's essentially a T1).

The little exclamation point in triangle comes up above Start Button is IE7 is the kiss of death. It means a Javascript error on the page, and that in turn means that many if not all the interactive features won't work -- as they rely on Javascript.

The usual way to fix it is CTRL+R to force a complete reload of the page. This will reload any Javascript files that may have been incompletely loaded.

It's certainly worth installing Firefox. Even if you don't use it yourself, you should test your SiteSpinner created pages with it -- as well as IE7 of course.

Thank y'all so much for your help. Larry advised me to examine my security settings in my browser and enable scripting. Most was enabled but some were disabled. I adjusted this and now it works. I will get Firefox too. Others have recommended it also. Y'all are really awesome! Rock on. Come check out my site and tell me what you think. www.americanstylelandscaping.com It is still a work in progress, but a month ago I knew absolutely nothing about site building. My hats off to Sitespinner. And once again, thanks!
