Hello,
I'm fairly new to creating websites. Could someone explain to me how to center my page so it does not run off the right side of some browsers? When I click on Project options under options and select the Hpos, then all objects, it seems to push my objects randomly out of proportion and even further off of the browser. I have confirmed that center horizontally is NOT selected at the same time. Then when i try to unset all of these options and only select center horizontally, my page is centered but I have a white space to the left which I do not want. How do I get it to fit into any browser so it lines up on the left side and ends at the right side without having to scroll over? Any help would be appreciated... my site Thanks |

The usual advice is to design your pages for 800x600 or 1024x768 target resolutions. Keep inside the guidelines, and set Horizontal Page Centering on.
On higher resolution screens, this will give a margin on either side of your pages. If this is not what want, you may find horizontal positioning and sizing more suitable. But, it is tricky to implement as you seem to have found already |

Hi,
I have a small problem? I created my whole site than realized it not centered when I published it to the www (www.ez-trip.com). Can someone please show me how I can now center the whole site so that it can center when I re-publish it. Thanks Again. Severin |

Open Page Editor > Special Effects tab, check 'Center Page Horizontally' and click 'All Pages'.

I agree but if you go the 1024 route I would suggest keeping all of your content within 1000 pixels as the useable space is only about 1004 because the scroll bar does use some space. Personally I like sites that are 800 wide. I find them easier to read. If you use the 'page center' as klimt posted, use a background color, then there will be no 'white space'. |
