Hi

there is any chance to put in ftppro.ini new strings ?
e.g. SubDirPublic=PDF and SubDirRoot=ASP?

My problem is to have every PDF in the Public sub folder, and every ASP in the root

unluckily, I have only 1 free sub folder to add in Publish/Pages/Sub Folder !
So, if I add the Public sub folder, SiteSpinner puts both PDFs and ASPs in the Public sub folder, while if I don't add anything, SiteSpinner puts both PDFs and ASPs in the root ...

clearly, I know that I can add/edit object names as code, geometry or media in the Use More Categories fields, but I cannot change the file types, as Embedded Flash Files or Other Foreign Objects within the GUI

Have you tried setting the Format type in the Foreign Object Editor (Embed a File or Media)? There is a relationship between what you set there and where that file goes when you publish. See this part of the Foreign Object tutorial.

I would look to setting the ASP to be Format "Publish File" and the PDF to be "Other File Type", but you might also be able to force the PDF into its own "Code" folder, by giving it a Format of "Java Applet". Assuming you don't have any real Java!

Another option is to upload your PDFs and ASPs via a separate FTP program, and then you have complete control over where they go.

but the kompozer style is the example to follow, I think, as it memorize the subfolders in your hard disk and leave you the option to choose all subfolders in the remote server
