Hi.
Does anyone know how to stop relative objects from moving beyond a certain point of a web page. Example, if I had a relative object on the top right side of my web page (so I’ve added the settings 'relative horizontal positioning' plus 'align right edge') and was grabbing and dragging the right side of my browser from right to left, then the relative object would follow the browser border and stay relative to the right side browser border position. Therefore if my web page is shown on a small mobile device or a uses browser is sized down (in 'Restore down' mode) enough then my relative objects will cover or conflict with other objects on the page. So How do I stop relative objects from crossing over or under other objects or text on a page? Pretty mush stop a relative object from moving beyond a certain position on a page? I set up an example page here, when you drag the right browser border across, the blue coloured relative object in the top right hand corner comes across and covers the eclops logo on the top left. Thanks, Tonga. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Tonga, |

Hi Tonga.
I think the object have also to shrink to fit in that space. If that's the case check this post. Hope it helps. Credits to Larry. |

That would be awsome.
The test page is attatched to my develop.eclops site, I'll seperate it, then do I email it or do I set it up for dowload of my server? Thanks again Larry. |

I cannot find a way to do what you want with CSS. I can do it with javascript, but moving the objects is not smooth as compared with using SS relative positioning (and I think looks terrible). Also, I cannot get the script to work with SS, only SS-Pro. I think this is because of the way SS uses in-line style codes whereas SS Pro uses CSS in the head section.

Hi Larry.
Sorry about the delayed response, been camping up the beach. Thanks for all your help. I think I'll just let a couple of the objects hide behind other objects for now, it's won't be that often that a users browser will be reduced down to the size where the objects will conflict with each other. Cheers, Tonga. |
