i have a site where you can listen or download files and it worked in frontpage but since i changed to sitespinner people tell me that when they try to download the file it just starts playing and not downloading the file. i want them to be able to have the download box come up and choose what options they want so they can download and burn the file.
any help on this would be helpful.

Hi Bruce,

This will normally happen for any file that has an extension that is associated with a program on the user’s computer. If they don’t have a program for it, they will be asked to download it.

The fix for this that I used was a handy script supplied by one of our Guru members, Larry.

Go to his home page

On the left menu, click on PHP > File/File System, then in the center pane, click on Download Helper.
