My site ( www.capstamps.com) is set for 800x600 resolution and uses an image for the background. When I try to center the pages horizontally only the text I've added centers - the background image stays fixed at the left side of the screen.

Examples: index.html is default, centeredhorizontally.html is after applying the center horizontally option.

Site created using SS Pro v2.91 .

Is there any way to center that background image along with the text? I've tried a variety of things, changing various options, etc. and can't make it happen.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Best,

Tom

Open a code object, set the code placement option to "In CSS" and enter:
body { background-position:center center; }

.

A much requested option would be to
have a "stretch background" option,
which would allways fill the entire background
nomatter what monitor-size/resolution is used.

As i understood from reading various arcticles on it...this is currently not possible but will
be available later when a new standard "CCS3"
is accepted/implemented.

I have seen some (complicated) workarounds
where the background pic is not in the real-background but in the lowest layer..with the rest of the contents placed on top of it.
But this method is complicated and needs
to create pieces of html and insert them
separate from what SS produces.

If anyone knows of an easy way to produce
such auto-stretching back ground...let me know.

Thanks !
