My website is www.ivyexamprep.co.uk
The links from the navigation bar work in Mozilla but not in Internet Explorer. I have no idea what to do. In addition - I made the links in the way the tutorial suggested. (I created a rectangle, I curved the edges, I placed text in front of it and then grouped the rectangle and the text. Then, I created a white, border-less rectangle to cover the bottom half.) But, whenever you change pages on my website, the white borderless rectangle disappears while the change takes place, so you see the bare-bones series of curved-rectangles. I think this looks really messy and a little unprofessional. Is there a way to change this? |

Hi
You have spaces, capital letters and an apostrophe in the URLs, which could be affecting things. You can use an underscore '_' instead of a space, change capitals to lower case and remove the apostrophe. That might help! Sorry, I haven't looked at the other problem, but perhaps it has something to do with the Z order...perhaps the wrong layer is on the top? I'll go back to it in a while....been on my laptop for 13 hours today and focussing is now getting a tad tricky, before I've had a glass of wine! mccifa |

I agree with Mccifa on avoiding spaces and punctuation in page and file names -- they can cause problems when you least expect them. Underscore and capitals are both OK. I don't think that is the problem right now, but is something you should fix in due course.
I'm not sure just where you made the link but it seems that you made it on the group, and your pages are showing the differences in how Firefox and IE handle that situation. So I suggest for your group, set Re-render on in the Quick Editor. This forces SS to make a composite image that will load much more cleanly and should also fix the link problem. If you decide not to do that, another fix for the link problem is to place the same link on both the text and the image, not on the un-rerendered group. |

I just tried two things.
First I changed all the page names. I got rid of punctuation, spaces, numbers and even capitals. That didn't work. Then I tried Brucee's suggestion. I de-grouped each navigation button and put the same link on the text and the object separately. I only did that for the navigation buttons on the index page, the aboutone page and the abouttwo page. I published to test it and they're still not working!! Any other ideas? |

O, my mistake. It did work after all. The publish just took a while to show up on IE.
Thanks so much! |

I was about to ask if you'd cleared your cache as it was working OK here for most pages.
