Hello !
I would like to know the easiest and better way to create borders for a centered page. What i've done so far is... I create 2 vertical lines and manually set their positions on both edges/sides but i don't think that's the way it's done. Thank you ! |

If you're happy with the results you see, that is quite a reasonable way to do it.
The disadvantage is that you have to adjust the line height every time you expand or reduce the page content. An alternative worth investigating is to create a special background that you tile onto your page via the Page Editor > Background tab. This background is a thin sliver, full page width, as little as one pixel high. For an example of this, try the image fun1_bg.gif from the Clip Art folder as a tiled background. Neat huh? However, the downside is that this kind of background does not adapt to horizontal page centering. Also worth trying is a tiled rectangle using a thin image, which you 'Send to Back' -- that should center correctly as you would expect. Hint: to avoid creating a big image file, put re-render off. |
