How to make a screen that tells my visitors to "wait page is loading"

Because my homepage takes a while to load...you see it being built up wich is not very nice to see...that's why i would like another page (or pop-up) being displayed....when the homepage is fully loaded
then it would appear and the "wait page is loading" would disappear.

What be the way to make this ?

Tnx

Hi Ron,

You can't do that with an html web page. The reason is that you there is know way of knowing which object is going to load first, so your 'please wait' may be the last thing to load. You can do this with Flash (and probably SVG) however.

Maybe there's a java-script to do this ? where to be found ?
Or still not possible because javas-cript is in fact "prefabricated html"

Tnx again

Hi Ron,

You can use JavaScript in your pages. It may be that the whole page would need to be JavaScript based however.

Hi TNX,
Try this:
Preload Image (with progress bar) Script 2
on http://www.dynamicdrive.com
Perhaps it's working. I have not tested it.
Good luck
