I have a PNG-image on my page for some reason
it's there as PNG . i could leave it like that....
seems to be the best quality (although it origines from : wordperfect >> adobepdf >> paint >> sitespinner),
you understand it has been converted a 1000 times,
so it probably would be just as good as jpg ?

Question:
Are there any (older browsers)
that don't support png....would they
see it as jpg (backwards compatible)??

Pic(png) is here:

http://www.tetrascanner.com/picdualbandvideoscanner

ps) how to insert a pic here ? (image url ? / only moderators?)

Tnx again...

Hmmmm nice to say question: while putting 5 more questionmarks here and there

I can answer your how to insert an image question.

When you write your post you will see the a "picture" icon. Click on that and put in the address as to where the image you want to show is store.. i.e like this although I have spaced out the text otherwise an image would try to show here:
www . a p e t e r s . co.uk / mypic.jpg

mypic.jpg being the file reference. However, if I ever place an image on a forum I make sure that it is resized in dimensions and compressed as much as possible.

Hi Ron,

The older browsers do not support .png However, there are very few of those browser still in use. By default images produced by WebDwarf, SiteSpinner, Web Engine export to .png The reason is that .png is the most versatile. You can always set SiteSpinner (and Web Engine) to export to .jpg (go to Options > Project Target Options) but keep in mind that by doing so you will lose some of the functionality (for instance, .jpg files do not support transparency)
