Im using SiteSpinner Pro 2.91 d (Thanks for the update) and I have an issue with the preview function, in that it won't resize.
Im using it just for Desktop layout but it remains fixed at the mobile size (rather than going to full size) regardless of what I choose from the sizing in the preview section drop down menu. In options it is set for 600x800. The resize triangle in the bottom right shows the double headed arrow, but it doesn't resize. What do I need to do to get it to be able to preview the project full size? TIA This message has been edited. Last edited by: nextstep, |

How are you doing the preview: with a regular browser or with the built-in Opera from the Preview tab?
If from the Preview tab, might you have the Toggle Small Screen mode set? Try the other preview function using your regular browser -- hot key F7 or the "Preview the current page" button on the main window top toolbar. Does that work for you? |

Hi Bruceee - Thanks for getting back to me...
~ I'm using the preview Tab -- which I believe is set to full size, however, when I look at : Options >>> Workspace Options >>> Preview >>> Use Stand alone Opera for preview : the box is ghosted out and can't be selected. Do I need to install Opera? ~ Hot key F7 work in my default browser, and the preview button works OK too.. The problem is with the preview Tab (next to Design) and that the view won't change from the "triangle" in bottom rignt corner where the scroll bars intersect.. It would be good to use the built in Opera browser but I can work around using your other suggestions... |

SS-Pro comes with the mini-Opera browser built in (I believe this is the same one used by mobile devices), but to use the stand-alone (or desktop) version, you need to install it.

You don't have to do anything special to install the built-in Opera. It should just be there after you install SS Pro.
If you have the "Use Stand alone Opera for preview" box disabled, that implies you don't have a full install. I would try a repair install of SS Pro -- just run the installer again. |

@ larryd -- installed opera, nice browser shame roboform doesn't work with it -- but no luck.
@ brucee -- (it appears the mobile install of opera is there OK and has been all along) -- After uninstalling, rebooting and re-installing the latest version, of SSP, no, the Use Stand Alone box is still ghosted and the preview window still can't be resized... |

I have no idea what you are doing wrong. I have just tried current and new projects, and the stand alone box you speak of is still available (not that I ever use it).
You say you cannot resize the preview window. The preview window is not SS specific. It is the window of the browser you nominate. Presuming you have some sort of browser on your system, try going to the Preview Options tab again. Now click the down arrow next to “Preview Browser Definition” and select “Preview – Default Browser” As the tab suggests, you can add other browsers which will then become available from the drop-down list on the main toolbar. |

@ postyr I'm referring to the Preview Tab next Design Tab, in SSP rather than using my default browser (or browsers selected from the dropdown menu)
Yes I have some sort of browser on my system: InternetExplorer 8 FireFox Chromium Safari and now, Opera But it is NOT the browser itself -- it is the Preview Tab, adjacent to the Design Tab in the left side of screen immediately above Tools and the design area and directly below Objects, Desktop, Mobile tabs. (If I could upload a screenshot jpg I would, but am not able to add an attachment..) But to reiterate it is NOT the browser, it is SSP Preview Window which suggests it can be widened in the bottom right corner, so that the scroll bars will disappear. Simply, I can't widen the view using the bottom 'triangle' where the scroll bars meet even though I get a double headed arrow saying that I can. It appears to be remaing on Mobile size. Thanks for your suggestion. |

It appears that SSPro 2.91d does not detect Opera 10 correctly. I re-installed both Opera and SS Pro and mine is also still grayed out. I tried re-installing 2.91c and it is also grayed out in that version, but I know that Opera 9 was working OK before I upgraded.
Also, I'm getting an error "... IMSExtract.dll failed to register error; HRESULT -2147010895. COntact your support personnel." when installing 2.91d. I've been choosing the Ignore option and the installation continues without any further error. This error does not appear when a "repair" is performed. (Running Win 7 64-bit, Intel Core). |

Nextstep, sorry for misunderstanding your original question.
When I try the preview option you mention, I don’t get any errors, and the page is definitely resizable. In the left hand pane, there is a drop-down option to change the page width. For me, when I alter that option, the results are seen immediately. |
