I bought a copy of practical web design (issue 178) and it included a disk with a full version of Web spinner, but its asking me for a registration code? I have a serial number but no reg code..how do I attain this?

Are you in the right forum? The products we discuss here are branded "SiteSpinner". Your "Web Spinner" might be a misnamed variant -- or it might be something completely different.

Before you do that, check in the magazine itself to make sure the registration code is not buried in there. Or try your serial number as a registration code. Or, if the magazine has a web-site, check there.

Derry. Wouldn't a magazine, or anyone for that matter, need to have some kind of agreement/contract with Virtual Mechanics before they could distribute your software?
Also, as Bruceee stated, if the packaged software needed a registration code, then it should have been included. Unless it was, in fact, a trial version rather than the "full" version SurgeGFX refered to. |
