I searched for this and found some tantalizingly related postings.

Is it possible to use SS-Pro to create a WordPress theme?

Is there any kind of tutorial on that?

Regards,

Alan

No, I think we can be fairly sure there is no tutorial.

All I know about WordPress is what I googled just now. If the WordPress theme is in the form of a .html page, then yes it should be possible.

The example I saw indicates you need to enter html or something like it into a text editor -- if that is all, there is no particular advantage in using SS Pro.

If you can give a short summary of what a WordPress theme (template?) consists of, we should be able to give a better answer.

Yes, it is possible to use SS or SS-Pro to create a template for WordPress. At one time there was a tutorial on how to do this. Unfortuntely, that site got no visitors other than bots over a 6 month period, so I took it down.

Perhaps the best information on putting together a SiteSpinner site is the Urban Giraffe's.

He starts out by explaining how to install Wordpress into kind of a "sandbox," to a Windows computer by installing WAMP. This is an open-source program that installs a server on a Windows computer.

Then he seems to have 2 versions of how to customize a theme, an earlier one here and a more recent one here.

Anyhow, I thought SS-Pro might be useful in this enterprise if I could graphically create what I wanted the theme to look like and then use SS-Pro to design it.

Some years ago, I started a blog, but personal and professional obligations kept me from keeping it up.

You can see it by clicking here.

I wanted to update it, and I'll need to install some updates and fixes to the installation.

Regards,

Alan
