Want to add audio to my site. Purchased FAW and recorded. Cut and pasted code and uploaded files. No sound on the web but plays fine in test mode from sitespinner. Does anyone have any expereince with this app...or any idea why this is not playing live?

I’m not real crash hot on audio, but some of the forum members are quite the experts, and should be along shortly to offer some assistance.

The only thing I can think of is that the browser you are using to test it in the web may not have the correct add-in installed to play the type of audio file that you are using.

The usual problem with Flash is that you have not uploaded all the required files to your site, or if you have, perhaps to the wrong folder of your site. That is why it works locally, but not from your site.

The first step is to identify the file(s) required by your Flash, and the second step is to upload it/them to the correct place on your site.

I suppose you need to upload at least:

1) The audio-file itself (Mp3,FLV...etc)
2) The Flashplayer-code
3) SWFobject (now 2.2)

After you uploaded these (either separate using FTP or trough SS...dont forget to mark "gather all files")

Then check if they all are in the same folder
at your server.

Check if they are available at the right URL's

.../your song.mp3
.../swfobject.js
.../yourflashplayer

and check that the player points to the right URL for the song.

Still wont play ?...post all above mentioned url's here(if you want)
and the URL with the page with the flashplayer (loaded with the song in question) on it.

Good luck Smile

Radio,

Your reply makes no sense to me, but I’m sure it will to those concerned.

I give you credit for your shaky start to this forum, and the assistance you now supply.

Well done
