Is this a site you previously published to?

The 550 error is a permissions error; trying to upload something to a directory where you do not have write access. Make sure this is the correct directory for you to use. Use the SS Publisher FTP tab and click the Browse button and see if you can create a new folder in this directory.

Also, try toggling the Passive Mode option. This caused the same type of problem for me on one site.

Hi Larry ... how do you explain the fact it picks up the original pictures (see first message) but not the newly added pictures ... I tried toggling the passive key but no change ... dd

I was not aware that your 2 posts were related. To me, 2 threads = 2 problems; I had assumed your earlier problem was resolved since you started a new post about a different subject.

Do you have space on your site for the new images?

Yes there is space ... all saved for the web ...even the change to the background didn't get recognized ... I noticed once I started using SS on the new computer if I didn't save the changes to the site as I went ... it wouldn't display "do you want to save changes" before SS shut down and any changes I made were not saved ... dd
