Passwords for IhostVM are store internally by the IhostVM component (dll). The SiteSpinner FTP tab loads the password from the IhostVM component.
To change or reset an IhostVM password and/or synchronize it with the SiteSpinner FTP tab password, follow these steps: 1. In the SiteSpinner ‘Publisher’ window’s FTP tab, make sure that your current password is in the password box. If your FTP password is not correct, the button in step 2 will warn you and you will need to go back and enter the correct one. 2. In the IhostVM tab, click on the ‘Update Account’ button. 3. An IhostVM dialog window will appear. Follow the steps that are presented to you choosing same options (plan, name, address, etc ) that you currently have (unless you want to change them). 4. When you get to the ‘Choose a unique password’ page, re-renter your password (or choose a new one). Make sure ‘Save password’ is set ‘on’ (checked). 5. When you have entered all the steps and the update has completed, press the ‘Finish’ button. 6. Once the IhostVM dialog window has closed, press ‘Cancel’ in the Publisher window and exit SiteSpinner. 7. When you restart SiteSpinner, your IhostVM password should be stored and in sync with the SiteSpinner password. - Derry |
