If you receive a 'File found but not transfered' message when Publishing to your webhost, it is usually caused by your webhost not accepting the file. This is often due to either a) the file type is not recognized or is not allowed, or b) the file name itself has problems.
a) Your webhost may refuse a file if it does not recognize the type of file. For example, VMI's products upload a backup of your Project file to your server. These files have the extension .ims Some servers may refuse these files simply because they do not recognize them (you can disable 'auto-backup' in the Publisher > Pages tab). Your webhost may also refuse other file types you may have added to your page as a Foreign Object. b) some servers do not like file names with spaces, caps, or non-standard characters in the name (see the here for more information) and so may refuse the file. - Derry |
