Q: Can I add 'subject=' or other fields to a email link?

A: Sure, you can simply add a '?' and then 'subject=something' to the address in the URL box (you must use the 'mailto://' link type).

like this:
name@abc.com?subject=something

You can add a second or third value if you put a '&' between values.

like this:
name@abc.com?subject=something&cc=someother@elswhere.com&body=your message goes here

Bill wrote: For more than one word in the subject line use %20 for each space. Example: name@abc.com?subject=something%20and%20something%20else

AndyP wrote: Also check out the following: http://developer.netscape.com/viewsource/husted_mailto/mailtoApp.html - a mail-to generator which allows you to add even more information to any email.
