Coping text directly from another application directly into the Text Editor can produce unwanted results at times. The problem is caused by the way the different applications format text, and the way text needs to be formated to appear in a web browser.

When you copy text from another application into the Text Editor, press Ctrl+Shift+V (or in the Text Editor, go to the Edit menu > Past Plain Text).
