How can I get non-standard characters to appear correctly in my text? (e.g ß, é, å)

If the characters in your text (or script) are not part of the basic English character set you may need to choose a specific character set code for your pages.

You can do that at the Page Editor's 'Links, Fonts' tab in the 'Character Set' area. Choose UTF8, ANSI or enter your own code.

If you are using western European characters choose the 'ANSI' option. For other characters, enter a custom code in the edit box. For example enter "iso-8858-2" (without the quotation marks) for central European characters. There is a full list of character sets here.

Note: SiteSpinner is not specifically designed to use multi-byte characters sets (e.g. Chinese, Japanese). These character will work in some case but not in others. We improve the multi-byte character handling with each product update. The best way to know if it will do what you need is to give it a try!
