I knew there was a bug in ssp on the re render check box. It's been so intermitent and I've had objects 'flying about but I have just found out how to reproduce it everytime Smile

Do the following EXACTLY...

1) On an Unlocked object that already has re render and aa ON

2) Just click on 'display quick properties editor' and just see that rr & aa are both checked then just close the box with the 'x'

3) Double click on th object to bring up the 'object editor'

4) rr & aa should obviously both be checked still

5) Click 'componets' then the geometry button icon.

6) Click 'outline' then close the box with the 'x'

7) Next click 'transformation, then 'link' then 'options'. You will now see that rr & aa are both UN Checked. Now the best bit !! Click on OK and the object shoots up to the top left of your screen lol

Do it Excatly as above and I'm sure the same will happen.

Surely this is not how it should work?

Andy

I just tried that in SS Pro 2.91, and see it too. The critical step is how you close the Geometry Editor (GE). If you close the GE with the x, the bug occurs, but not if you close the GE with the OK button.

I agree -- it's a bug. For now I'll call this bug "Andy's Flier" -- but as always, you have naming rights Smile

A completely pointless 'bug' to report in one sense I know but I kept coming across the unchecked rr & aa boxes and it was driving me nuts as I was sure I wasn't doing it ! It took me ages to reproduce it though Smile

You've done me proud though with another good bug name Razz

Actually Andy, it is a good bug. There have been a lot of cases in the past where people have mentioned that objects "disappear" off the page, and making the page extremely large either horizontally or vertically. I suspect this bug is the cause of those complaints.

Larry -- this bug places the center of the object at (0,0). So you may find it there if not hidden by something else.

The other bug, where objects disappear to re-appear at ridiculous co-ordinates seems to have some other cause, maybe mouse glitches.
