Suddenly, out of the blue, whenever I load up my site.ims file in SS 2.5f, it comes up with this error box.

"Corrupt JPEG data: Premature end of data segment"

It doesn't seem to affect the site itself but is quite worrying considering my site is 999 pages in size. I often make back-ups but am weary of continuing producing the site until I can get rid of this error.

Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated.

That error means that one of your original jpg image files is damaged. It may not affect the actual picture but it is not good to have damaged files. You would need to detemine which picture file it is and restore that file.

One way, to do that is to isolate a group of your image files by moving or renaming them (or even just renaming the folder they are in). Then re-load the ims file and see if you get the error. If you don't then the image is among the files you moved. Put half the images back and reload to see which half the bad image is in. Repeat that until you have only one file.

Wow -- 999 pages! Why not try for a round 1000?

Assuming you have your site all in one ims project file, that is maybe a record -- does anybody else have a bigger site? My biggest is a puny 50 pages and I thought that was big.

Have you found any disadvantages with a site this size -- I'm thinking of things like the speed of a "preview all"?

999 - amazing....117 here...and I was SOOO impressed with myself...who knew?

That is a little but scary because there is supposed to be a limit of 998 pages.

Are you using version 2.50f? If not, an older version may have let the extra page through. You should problably bring it back down to 998 to avoid potential problems.
