Just been looking at an old bug report, Rotation of Text/Title Objects. All those problems seem to be fixed -- thank you.

I can no longer rotate and skew (r/s) text objects in SVG mode -- not a problem.

However there are a few visual remnants that imply you can still r/s text objects. With the r/s tool selected:

When selected, the text object displays a center point (little circle with a plus sign in it)

On mouse down over the text object, (you need to be mousing from an object with the r/s handles displayed) the r/s handles appear on the text object. They revert to standard handles on mouse up

You can enter r/s numbers into the Quick and Object Editors

If you really can't r/s text objects any more, these indicators should be removed.
