I have spent hours trying to figure out why S.S. doesn't do what it is supposed to,(according to the "help" files, etc.) I haven't been able to create page to page links etc.
I noticed that some of the limitations that WebDwarf has, I had. I WAS using Site Spinner, but I also had Web Dwarf installed.
So, the genius that I am, I decide to delete Web Dwarf and....Guess what? EVERYTHING I had done using Site Spinner vanished! What the heck!
I just deleted around 30 hours of work. I planned on buying S.S. but how in the **** do I know that I don't have some evil Web Dwarf file lurking in the background that is going to mess with my head again? There should be a STRONG WARNING that this can happen! This STINKS!

Yikes!!! Are you really really sure your project is deleted and not just misplaced?

I have just deleted WebDwarf from my system using the Windows uninstall, and it was very well behaved, leaving my projects intact and also some settings files. (The projects folder is inside the WebDwarf folder.)

If you just deleted the Webdwarf folder, you will indeed lose your projects folder too -- but only the WebDwarf projects folder. SiteSpinner should have its own projects folder inside the SiteSpinner folder. However if you had your SiteSpinner projects being saved in the WebDwarf folder, you may have a problem. (Check your recycle bin in this case.)

Try doing a search of your hard disk for files of the form *.ims. Also if you ever published your project anywhere, the ims project file is included with the publish files as a backup.

If no luck there, there are unerase programs available (check the web) -- you should still be able to recover your lost project.

Thanks Again Bruceee. I did a search for IMS and my files showed up. Now they show again in S.S.-Weird because they wouldn't before I searched for them and opened one up in the search window. Anyways, they're back. Thanks. Big Grin
