After publishing to the internet or to disk sometimes I am getting the following notification that a file was not found but no file is listed.
________________________________________________

Transferring file: /htdocs/index.php (26416 bytes)

--------------Summary---------------
This file was not found:

-----------------End----------------
There was 1 error recorded. (See summary above)
________________________________________________

The page appears to be displaying ok when published without any errors.

Is this a bug?

Tony

Yes. Smile

First of all, it doesn't display the name of the file that was "not found". Secondly I think it is trying to report a file not found that it has actually found. It may relate to a file you use in two different ways, once as a foreign object, another in say a [file] type link. I'm not sure about this, so it would be interesting to know if you have anything like that in your project.

I think we have reported this before, but I can't find where -- hope VM has noted it!

Thanks for the quick response Bruce.

I was looking at the project for such a file now and discovered something else. The site is the one that I am trying out the combined layout of Desktop & Mobile. I just altered the Z order of the Mobile Layout and it has altered the Desktop Z order also even though these objects are excluded from the Desktop Layout.

Also I have numerous objects that are deleted from the Mobile Layout but the objects are still in the dropdown list.

Could this be something to do with the problem or is this another bug?

It could be, but I suspect something more mundane than that. Might you have accented or other strange characters in your page names? -- That can cause problems. I suggest stick to simple letters and numbers, with no spaces or punctuation.

This is the thread I was thinking of where we reported something like this previously: http://virtualmechanics.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3676057891/m/9581058803

No, I have come upon that problem before Smile

All of the page names have no spaces or punctuations, just plain text.

I just uploaded the page again with an added link in the text and this time there is no error "file not found"

It seems to be intermittent

If removing the link brings the problem back, can you email me the project please? I will be interested to investigate further.

Bruce,

The page in question was the /index.php file which is still OK, however I checked the other pages one by one and all of them are showing the same error "This file was not found:" without a file being listed

I have sent the .ims file to your e-mail, for you to have a look.

Thanks
Tony
