Hi
Make a dingbat into an image..... Using title text select the font you want and then 72 because that's as big as the font size menu goes. Save the text. On the page select the text's handles and ctrl drag outwards to resize proportionately to get a bigger than 72 picture. Go into the enlarged title text box you just made, highlight your text, and note font size has not increased. Highlighting the text, leaving it on the 72 showing and hitting OK does not change the size of the text back to 72. You have to go in and out of the font size menu to change back to 72. Not so much a bug, more a quirk of usability. Would be better to be able to set custom sizes to get the most out of the fabulous title text feature. Happy spinning. Ali |

The title tool really isn't a text box. It is just a tool to create an image from text. When you save and close the tool, an image is placed on the work page, not text. So when you resize it, you are re-sizing an image. If you re-edit the title, SS uses the base title text object which is why it reverts back to 72pt.
This limitation could be corrected if VM uses your suggestion to allow font sizes large than 72 pt or custom sizes. |

Hi Larry
The title text maker is one very cool tool, whatever. Perhaps I notice quirks more because I am new to Sitespinner, if not design. But this is probably the last week I will be hugely useful to Virtual Mechanics. As soon as I build up speed and familiarity I won't notice any of these things half as much, so they lose the free usability testing of another experienced designer. This program is fantastic but the correction of small imperfections is what seems to differentiate VM from everyone else. I suspect they would want to know what I find, no matter if they already know it or if it is on their list to do or to reject. I am totally shocked that I have never discovered the program before. It's brilliant. How lucky you are to have found it a long time ago. All that stress-free designing! Best wishes. Ali |

Larry is correct. When you stretch the title box you are stretching the existing font size.
I am glad you are enjoying SiteSpinner. You might also be interested in the title's 'Convert to Path' option. If you right-click on a title and click 'Convert to Path' on the menu, the title is converted to an outline that can be colored or thickened. The inside of the outline can be shaded with a different color or texture and ... if click on the 'edit vertices' button (the white arrow in the left toolbar) you can reshape the font outlines. The reshaping is only really pratical on large characters. You can't convert back to text from a path. |

Hi Harpo
I am still playing with the paths! I find it truly amazing that all this design stuff is included in the program. It is fantastic. Best to all. Ali |
