Yesterday I downloaded Web Dwarf V2. Everthing went well until I tried to upload the images to my site. I used an FTP and the file transfered no problem except that the file extension was IMS and therefore could not be viewed by any browser. I also noticed that all the HTML code that I had copied into the page had transfered but the link to the images was not working (i.e. there was 'x'). I tried saving the file in preview (IE 6) and transfering that file but that did not work either. I can view text, scroll bars etc just not images. I checked the gather option but to no avail. Any ideas?

Hello Peter Pscs,
You need to 'Publish' your page in ordr to convert them to HTML. To find out more about Publishing your work, go here: http://www.virtualmechanics.com/products/dwarf/tutorials/wepublishing.html and scroll down to the section on WebDwarf. - Derry |

This is where my problem seems to be. When I try to use the "Publish File Format" and check HTML and check "FTP to internet server" option under Export Destination, the file is transferred with a IMS extension rather than an HTML as described in the Help text.

When you Publish, WebDwarf automaticaly makes a backup of your ims file and publishes it to your server. However, it also publishes your html file. Please make note of the name you gave to your page, not the name you gave to your ims file. The name you give to your page is what you should be looking for when you publish.
