I see the problem -- it shows in the latest versions of SiteSpinner (V2.70.e) and Web Dwarf (V2.50.f). It's in the Text Editor, and it seems there are similar problems in the Title Editor.

In this this old thread Harpo said that SiteSpinner (and by implication, Web Dwarf and Web Engine) do not have explicit support for non-Western character sets. I'm not familiar with those fonts but are they all non-Western?

Those fonts are certainly not web-safe (in the West!), so the usual advice would be not to use them. But if you do require them, I don't think there is an easy way to do it. Have you tried Title Objects -- if your fonts worked there, that might be acceptable for small amounts of text.

SiteSpinner does have explicit support for other languages but we try to use the computer's language resources.

The fonts for specific languages are not available unless your computer is set to use that language. So for example if your computer is set to use English, only Arial Western is usable. If your setting is for Greek, only Arial Greek can be used. Choosing a font for a language that is not available should revert to the availble version or the current font

Normally you would leave the 'Show all Characters Sets' option off (under text editor's menu: Format). That way only the currently usable fonts are should appear in teh font list.

I am not sure if all the fonts you listed are for alternate languages but my guess is that they are. You can see the same behaviour in WordPad.

To change the language your computer uses (in XP anyway) go to the control panel's 'Regional and Language Options' Language tab. I haven't tried it but you may even be able to enter Chinese characters this way. You may have to restart SiteSpinner before a change takes effect.
