Hi
As Harpo has said to me I post here some "bugs" maybe? I have Win98SE. 1) Sometimes I got the following message: "ERROR CREATING DC IN DRAWGEO" and all the system stops. I must restart Windows. 2) Some fonts disappear when one uses many times the Text Editor. One must load again the software and then it goes well until next time. 3) This is a suggestion: can we have many "undo's". Only one? Please... Thanks |

Great, thanks for posting that.
One Question, which version of SiteSpinner are you using? (see menu: 'Help' > 'About SiteSpinner...') Harpo |

Running Win XP, I have never seen the first two problems. Have found SiteSpinner to be very stable.
Multiple undos - now that would be nice. I second that suggestion. |

Hi Harpo
I have dowloaded IMS Web Engine 2.00b for a try. It is similar to Site Spinner and very good. Later I was working on Microsoft Excel 2000 and after saving my work it was impossible to close the program. All the system was freeze and I have to reset the machine. I tried many times and always the same problem. It does not happen with the other Microsoft Office 2000 products (Word, Power Point, etc.). I reinstalled Office two times and always the same... Until i removed Web Engine... and then Excel worked again! Do you know about this? What has to do Web Engine with Excel? Is there a connection? I have Windows 98SE. Some help? |

Do you mean Excel is locking up?
There is nothing in WebEngine that is connected to Excel. The only possible relationship I can think of is this: WebEngine includes some Windows system files. If it's version were newer than your Window's version it would be installed. If there were a bug in Excel that appears when the new version is used, that might explain the problem. But that seems fairly unlikely to me because SiteSpinner would do the same. I would make sure you have the latest service packs for Windows and Office and if the problem continues, ask Microsoft if they know what might cause Excel to lock up. |

I'm getting this error as well ... "Error creating DC in DrawGeo". I've turned down my graphics setting and it's still happening.
I have Windows '98 and version 2.50f. Any ideas?? |

Hi
After that time I have installed Win98SE again and the problem disappeared. Now I use WinXP. |

DarthTedd,
The first thing to check is that you are not in 'high render' mode. Go to the Options and make sure that 'Hight Render Work Window' is not checked. - Derry |

It's not checked. What next?

The error means you have run out of DC memory. That memory is used to store images (and other things) It may be that you just have too many or too big images on the page for Win98 to render or it may be that an image (or more than one)is somehow causing an error.
Try backing up your project and removing the images one by one until it works. Then put them back in reverse order til it fails. That should tell you which images are causing the problem. Let us know what you find. |

Well, that seems like alot of work just to troubleshoot. I went with this program because I don't care for Front Page. The reviews for site spinner where outstanding, however if I have to try this I don't know if putting out the $50 is something I should do.
I'll admit that my machine does need an upgrade, but I can't afford that right now. I'm in my project right now and all of the pictures say "image, not found". This wasn't this way before I published the project. How can I remove pictures if it doesn't show me what pic is where? The other question I have is why didn't I get this error during the building of the site? It only started happening after I published the site. -dt |

Unfortunaletly if you have a image that is causing you to run out of memory, the only way to find out which one it is is to remove it from the work space.
If your images are not found, just click on the placeholder and then, same as with existing images, press the delete key to remove it from the work space. However if you images are not found, isn't that a problem for you to work at all? That only would happen if you moved the image files (or move the project). See here details on that and how to fix it. I don't know way you see the error message now an not before. It is possible the problem is caused by some other factor. |

I did fix the error regarding the pictures. I moved the image file and it goofed up the project. Moving the image file back corrected it.
Tonite, I was working for a few hours without the error, then it did it agian. Basically what it comes down to is I need a new computer. This PII, 350mhz isn't getting it done. |
