I get this error everytime I try to publish my webpage. I don't think it's a faulty .jpeg image or anything, but then again I don't even know how to check that. First I get an error saying that it needs to close, the application is sitespinnerv2.exe, and the module is the same. Then when I press close, I get the message that 0x73dd11c7 could not be referenced at memory 0x00000004 or something like that. I've tried changing pictures, formats, everything, and it still won't work. I don't know what to do!

Hi,

If you can send us your project file (the .ims file) that is causing the problem and all the image files it uses, we will take a look to see if we can spot the problem.

Also, please tell us what version of windows you are using.

Send it to vmsupport@virtualmechanics.com
Put this postings subject, "error when publishing". as the subject so we can spot it.

Also, check to make sure that you have the most recent version of SiteSpinner. Check your menu 'Help' > 'About SiteSpinner V2'

Version 2.50f is the most current release today.

See here for update.

It would still be worth checking the actual version you have -- even a fresh download could be an old version. But not from the VM site of course Smile

Okay, I don't think it has anything to do with the images, I checked them all, they're fine. I did notice that the error comes up when it's doing something with one of the templates that I used. Could there possibly be something wrong with the template?

There shouldn't be a problem with the templates. Which one where you using?

What, exactly, where you doing when it happened? Maybe there is some operation that is causing the problem.

Have you confirmed that you verion says "2.50f" ?

I was uploading my webpage, and right in the begining, I get the error saying that sitespinner needs to close, it's windows 1000 and 1001 error, then I get that memory error. It's version 2.50 f, so i'm all updated and everything.

Okay, well, I ended up just building myself another webpage. I used all of the same pictures, but I didn't use any templates, and the publishing went fine. I don't know what was happening before but thanks for all ofyour help guys!

Hi... I've encountered a similar problem while publishing my project. The error window reads that Sitespinner has encountered an error and must close. I get the same results when I try to preview. Any suggestions? Or do I have to re-do my website? This is the second time in two weeks that I've had trouble with my project...and I even started over after the last episode when the images disappeared, then the text, and I couldn't recover any of the information from my index page. Really weird!

Would be grateful for any help. I've also uninstalled and re-downloaded SiteSpinner.

Thanks!
Zing

Hi Zing,

What do you mean by "images disappeared"? Were they completely gone? Were there placeholders?

What about the text? Completely gone?

Are the images or text gone in the current project?

Does pressing menu: 'Edit' > 'Clean Components' help?

Images and text weren't visible. I thought that they might be hidden, and so I tried removing the "layers" and moving stuff to the front or to the back to see what happened, but that didn't seem to work. Didn't see the place holders either. I don't know what I did, but the more I tried, the worse it got, or so it seemed. So I started all over again, with a clean index page, and added the links as I had them before. Of that original project, I had at least one page that was intact, so I kept that.

Today, when I thought I was done, I tried to preview it, and I got an error message saying that SS had encountered an error and would have to close. It gave me the option of sending the error report to Microsoft. I closed out, re-launched the program, and tried to publish to the host, and I had the same results. I went through this process a couple more times, and even uninstalled and reinstalled SiteSpinner. At one point, when I tried to preview my project, the main image (photo) on my index page was all fuzzy and blurred, the resolution was bad, and the size was wrong too.

Is it possible that I could have a memory problem? Or is there something else the matter with my computer? I'm running Windows XP, with 512 RAM.

Thanks.

Zing

That sounds pretty strange. It might be memory shortage if your pictures are huge. How big is the biggest? How many pictures are there on a page? How many pages?

Did 'Clean Components' help?

Apparently there is a support mail from Zing. Is that you? If it is can you follow up on the questions asked by vmsupport too, by email. Then we will see what we can find out from that.

If that is not you, can you send your project and images to vmsupport@virtualmechanics.com. Once we can see it working (or rather 'not working')we should be able to get to the bottom of the problem.

Zing has solved the problem but is not sure how it was done. We are waiting to see if it comes back.
