Hi all
this link seems to be dead ...
http://www.regnow.com/signup/a...iate.cgi?vendor=4272

this apart, I have a couple of crashes (the application closes)

1: when I click on File/Display code and the opening of the window is longer than usual
2: when I delete an object using the CANC key, while the right click+Cut or right click+Delete seem right

Furthermore, I have a suggestion

I use a pen tablet instead of the mouse, and double clik is not exactly under control, so it would be useful that blocked objects weren't clickable (i.e. not subject to open themselves) with left click, but rather ONLY with right click

I tried the link twice, separated by four hours, and both times it worked for me. I suggest try it again.

Are your crashes happening on any project or only on one particular project? What version of SiteSpinner are you using? And can you clarify these points:

1. "opening of the window is longer than usual". Do you mean the height of the window, or the time taken to open the window? I have seen a crash where nothing seems to happen after you try to do something, and about a minute later SS crashes. Is your crash like that?

2. I don't have CANC key on my keyboard but do have a Del (Delete) key, which I normally use to delete objects. Is your CANC likely to be equivalent to a Del? I guess it is, as I also have and Esc (Escape) and Back Space key, but neither of those will delete objects.

VM is always keen to fix any crash, but first we users have to find something that will create the fault for them. Can you make these crashes happen on any page of the tutorials (Help > Tutorials), and if not, can you make a test project that illustrates the crashes?

Sorry, more questions than answers Smile

Hi Brucee
here are the answers

Are your crashes happening on any project or only on one particular project?
I have only 1 project so far, so I'll try to reproduce it some other way

What version of SiteSpinner are you using?
I use the 2.70c just downloaded last week

opening of the window is longer than usual
I mean the time necessary to open the Code window with ALT+C or File/Display Code, but it seems that with the spectacles icon there is no crash

and yes my CANC = your DEL

just tried now: I put http://www.regnow.com/index.html in google
the google direct link gives me a 1x1 pixel void gif image

Google cache copy gives me the right html page, but when I click on Home I have again a gif image ....

clearly I set Firefox to accept from regnow and virtualmechanics pictures, cookies and popups

very odd to me

Claudio

I suggest you get the updated version of SiteSpinner -- 2.70f. The easiest way to get it is via SiteSpinner's Help > Check for Updates. That may fix your crash problems.

I don't have any problem with this link either:http://www.regnow.com/index.html -- in Firefox it produces a normal web-page for me. Maybe you have an ad, popup or porn blocker that has taken a dislike to the regnow URL?

Perhaps some other kind person could try the link, and tell us what you find....

All links in this thread work fine for me also, in both IE8 and FireFox.

I am beginning to suspect that the problem is with Claudio’s system and/or a bad install of SS.

Claudio, have you tried simply using the links from this thread directly into the address bar of your browser without SS being open?

If you are getting the same result then, it is definitely not a Site Spinner issue.

By the way Bruce, my employees at work often jibe that I am not always a kind person, so my input may not be accepted.

Hi all

I've tried again and I can see the regnow webpage ONLY if I use this address instead
"https://www.regnow.com"
NOTE: "https" instead of "http"

but the address
"https://www.regnow.com/signup/affiliate.cgi?vendor=4272"
gives back me a "No products were found matching your criteria" message

furthermore, the link under the button Affiliates is "https://www.regnow.com/affiliates"
NOTE: "affiliates" instead of "affiliate"

clearly, even the address:
doesn't work ... GRRR
;-D

so, you see, there are 2 mistakes, to me:
"https" instead of "http"
and
"affiliates" instead of "affiliate"

but the more unsettling question is:
how can you go there smoothly even doing these 2 mistakes?

The Mistery of The Mummy is nothing in front of The Mistery of The Cyberspace

and for Postyr

this link issue has clearly nothing to do with SiteSpinner application, but has clearly something to do with Virtual Mechanics e-mails and website links

Can you try another computer, or even better two? I don't see anything wrong with the website or the URL, so your computer is the No. 1 suspect.

When I click on the first link you first gave of http://www.regnow.com/signup/a...ate.cgi?vendor=4272, the link works fine. But the actual address shown in the address bar is https://www.regnow.com/signup/...or=4272&styleid=6256

And thanks Derry for your vote of support.
