I've been using this program for 2 days and found the following problems:
1. Creating text with simple animation (Action Editor). When in preview, the text moves several inches left of the position where it's supposed to be. 2. I make a picture transparent, then apply animation to it via the Action Editor. Next, I go to preview and not only is the positioning forced several inches to the left, but pieces of other objects get lodged into the transparent graphic. 3. I attach an object to the mouse. Then I go to preview and, depending on how many times I click something on the page, the object gets stuck somewhere on the screen. I actually have to double-click the object to make it follow the mouse pointer again. Sometimes, after this happens, the object is significantly further away from the mouse pointer. 4. I copy a grouped object and paste the new one into the page. I ungroup the new object, but change my mind about it and press CTRL + Z. But instead of undoing the action, the object disappears. That's all, for now. |

Can you post the steps taken to recreate these problems?
1. My first thought is that you may have page centering turned on. 2. The word transparent is a misnomer. While SiteSpinner/WebEngine can vary the transparency of images on the work page, the alpha channel is not saved when published. This has been fixed somewhat in the new WE Beta. Saving other portions of objects is due to the Render Background option being turned on which is the typical action when images are published. 3. If you can create a simple project file to show this behavior and send it to VM Tech Support they will have something to investigate. 4. I tried this with two text objects, then with two text objects and an image, and the Ctrl-Z regrouped the objects. What steps can I use to recreate this? |

1. Yup. But then that means I can't use animation on text, because page centering HAS to be turned on for the page to look right on all screens.
3. I deleted the object, but if it happens again, I will save that project and send it to you. 4. It has happened to me on several occasions, so it's not an isolated incident. In any case, it was suggested to me to use EDIT > CLEAN COMPONENTS and boy did it find a mess. Perhaps that was source of most of the problems. We'll see. |

For #1: I had this problem once, but it was fixed by a update. It does work (see my web site, Templates section). When you publish, make sure that the Publisher->Profile tab, "Publish Format" section "HTML (automatic)" is selected.

I can't publish yet. I just got this program a couple days ago. It's still the trial period.

You can still publish, just click on the publish icon on the toolbar. You can choose the free ihost option and upload your project. It should be good for 24 hours at the link they give you.
