No matter what I have tried, IE FTP transfer, WebEnging publixh, I cannot get a WebEngine file to post to the web. In WebEngine publish, it gets to the first file transfer and just hangs.
When I trie coping the files from the local disk to ftp://pacandgo.com they copy but the new web site does not come up Please advise Robert P Wagner |

Robert,
The first thing I would check is for a possible firewall problem. For more information on that, and other possible problems please see the FAQ here. - Derry |

Thanks but I already have... Both Site Spinner and IMSwebmechanic have identical settings.... that is, in Freedom (Adelphia's firewall), both are set up to be allowed input to and output from my system. Sitespinneer works, Webengine does not.
that being said, let me do you other faq suggestion and turn off the firewall alltogheather also... xp is not providing the firewall.... only Freedom Robert P Wagner |

Turned off Freedom firewall and webengin did publish... albiet links back and forth were not acting right but that is another problem I will work on in a little bit. I turned the firewall back on and the first transfer did not complete - eventhough the firewall permissions are the same for both sitespinner and webengine. Will have to work on that one also. Thirdly, webengine abended again and this time I took a picture of the instructions xp gives you but do not know how to get them to you (if you want to see the abnormal end of webengine job). Going to go back to the publish a webengine site using sitespinner (as that seemed to work the best of all so far)... I will have to check the links (ie., from Home to About to Contact to My other links etc) and make sure they are solid (because as I mentioned, webengine was very flaky with these links (sometimes they worked sometimes they went where they were not suppose to).. I will advise you and let me know if you want that abend picture.
