Hi. I have a list of links, each of which is to link to a pdf.
I edit the text that is the link. e.g. 'Setup and email account' Select the text, right click and select edit link. I select file type to be [File] and then click on the Find File button. I have found that if the link text is present in the 'Select or enter the URL to link to:' box, then this gets transferred to 'File name' field in the Open dialogue and in the body of the window, there are no files when there should be. If I delete the link text from the Select or eneter.... field, then magically all the files that are there are displayed. Whats happening, is that find file is looking for files called Setup and email account' and surprise - it doesn't find any. It would suggest that the Select or Enter text shouldn't get transferred to the 'Open' dialogue as most people will browse and click on the file of their choice rather than type a file name. I'm using V2.70d and I look forward to the email saying that you fixed that in V2.70e! |

I don't see a problem in SS V2.70f, or the latest SSPro 2.90 Beta 6.
I am with you up to here: "this [the text/filename] gets transferred to 'File name' field in the Open dialogue", but compared to you, I do see a file list displayed. This is the list of a directory I have used previously. Might you have used a directory that has no files or has a strange name? Might something strange be happening with your Windows? I don't see anything in the readme for SS that indicates any related fixes in the latest version, but even so, it would be worth updating -- you might be missing out on something If the problem still happens after update, can you try setting a different "last used" directory? |
