How do I create a drop-shadow behind and object?|

Though there is no function specifically for drop-shadows, it is fairly easy to create them. Try this: select the object you want to have a drop shadow. Now press copy/paste. You have now created a copy of your object that you can place behind your original by pressing the 'to-back' button (on the bottom tool-bar). You can then use either the Quick Editor (shading tab) or the Shading Editor (bottom toolbar) to change the colour and appearance of the drop shadow. You can also use the Object Edit mode option (left tool bar) to change its size, shape, etc.
Another option is to create a rectangle, giving it a black or gray shading. Make it the same size as your image and place it behind the image. Then move it down and to the right of the image to get the offset effect. - Derry |
