Hi,
I have a problem that I can't find any references to anywhere else on the forum.

I have an animated GIF that says it's 300x139 on disc. It also shows as this size in Photosuite, MS Picture & Fax viewer, IE and Firefox.

However, when I Mona Lisa it into SS, the size shrinks to 116x65. Irfanview also shows it as this size also.

I have tried to create the same sequence in MS GIF animator and in Active GIF Creator but the results are the same.

Anyone any idea what's going on?

TIA, Rob

I have loaded several of my gif animations into SS via the picture tool and the imported gif geometry is the same as the file. Loading into FF using a file:// protocol and viewing the media image info shows no size change.

Does this happen with all your gif animations or just this one? Can you a link to it so it can be downloaded?

Are your frames in the gif all the same size? I've got a feeling SS decides the size of the gif from the size of the first frame. If you can, try making your first frame the size you really want.

I'm not sure if that will help -- hope so. We have had this issue before. See this thread.

Ahhh! That'll explain it! It's a customer's logo that starts small and then gets bigger.

I'll have to rethink how I want it to look.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Harpo,

Thanks for that - just checked: 2.70c. Seems like I need to do an upgrade...
