I need to know how to do flyouts in Sitespinner other than imnporting some java script. I've noticed that it has been done on some of the profiled sites off of the sitespinner website. When I right click to look at the code, it is of course in IMS proprietory format so it is kind of hard to decript and I just don't have time for that.

Hello Ron,

Can you describe exactly what you mean by 'fly outs'. Is there an example you can point us at.

Please note that all the sites in our Gallery are standard HTML site, not IMS files. They are only IMS files when they are in Project form. Once they have been Published to the web they become standard HTML documents.

Derry,

Thanks for your reply. I found out that there is another term used for flyouts. How about cascading menu's? see the Illze bear site in your promoted sites.

The bearz site has the menus in a separate javascript file. They look to have been made with Xara MenuMaker which other members have spoken favorably about. Right now, some kind of javascript option does seem to be the best solution. More on this here.

I have been intending 'one day' to try menus like this with the SiteSpinner built-in mouseover functions. See Troubleshooter's suggestion in that thread.

I'm not sure if the FX are quite capable of cascading menus. I tried it once but kept running into roadblocks. For instance, you want the menu items to highlight only if the list is visible but they do it whenever the mouse is over that spot.

But who knows, there may be a way to combine them so it works. Let us know if you do it.
