Hi,

Would you let me have suggestions for this effect I'm trying to produce. .

Basically - I've a set of mutually dependant animations (a sort of animated tutorial) on a single page.

Once the animation has completed I want the user to have the option of selecting an on-screen button to restart the animation.

One solution is to create an object with a javascript link that reloads the page.

Although that works fine I'm not keen on it as it involves a fresh download which on a dial up line would be tedious.

It strikes me that there is possibly a way to set up the button object with an event such that when it is selected it resets all triggers and paths. Can't figure out how to do it though Frown .

Any thoughts?? Razz

Hi Bruce,

You can try calling the animation 'Setup()' function by putting javascript:Setup() in a blank link.

Caveat: This isn't a documented function right now and may change. Most likely the functionality will remain in future versions in some form but the name will change. This hasn't been throroughly tested and there may be side effects.

Thanks Harpo - worked just fine.

Maybe worth adding it as a WebEngine feature request - ie within Event=>action : additional check box 'reset all paths & triggers'.
